Descending Mont Ventoux was an incredible and exhilarating experience but, just one time for me will do!
The day started early and we met with our guide Gilles at 9 am. We were driven to the top of Mount Ventoux, given a pair of VTT bikes & helmets, and given directions to simply ‘go down’. We tested my breaks once, and off we went.
Now, if you can imagine, the roads were shared with other high speed cyclists and cars, both going at a ridiculous fast pace around the curvy mountain roads, and most of the way down from the summit was steep, twisted and without guard rails. All of this, was just the beginning 5 km descent down from the summit. Later we would bike through dirt back roads, a steep downhill rocky terrain (which caused me a bit of anxiety & stress), more gravel pavement (where I saw a cyclist pass me around a blind corner and pop his tire right after an oncoming car passed us!) and eventually through slippery red sand. The whole ride down Mount Ventoux was quite stunning but even more stunning was the fact I never fell off my bike! (Yay me!)
Anyway, while I don’t think I would do this bike ride again, I do think everyone (who can bike) should try it once! :)
Vi lovin’ the Louvre some more…

Swinging through my home turf…Happy Birthday to you, Singapore!
Homeless
Today, we officially moved out of our Ebisu apartment (keys returned & inspection complete) and are now en route to South France & Northern Italy for our 3 week long honeymoon-‘anniversaire’ vacation. That said, we decided to only move into our next Tokyo apartment after we return from Europe which means…we’re vagabonds! Ok, not exactly…but we will be living out of our suitcases & with minimal contact to the outside world for the next few weeks as we use the time to ‘joie de vivre’ and live ‘la dolce vita’.
We can hardly wait to get there and begin taking in all that France & Italy has to offer. Anyway, we will definitely try to keep you posted from time to time on our 1st European getaway as Mr. & Mrs. Hang. (Though, it might be a bit hard to do the posting without my laptop! ) In the meantime, hope all of our friends & family have just as fun and restful of a summer :)

Used to dream of being a millionaire, without a care
But if I’m seeing my dreams, and you aren’t there
’cause it’s over
that just wont be fair
darling,
rather be a poor woman living on the street,
no food to eat,
cause i don’t want no body if i have to cry.
cause it’s over
when you said goodbye!
all at once…
i had it all
but
it doesn’t mean anything
now that you’re gone
from above seems i had it all
but it doesn’t mean anything
since you’re gone
now i see myself through different eyes,
it’s no surprise!
being alone will make you realize
when it’s over!
all in love is fair I shoulda been there, I shoulda been there, I shoulda shoulda.
all at once…
i had it all
but
it doesn’t mean anything
now that you’re gone
from above seems i had it all
but it doesn’t mean anything
since you’re gone
I know I pushed you away
What can I do that would save our love
Take these material things
They don’t mean nothing
Its you that I want
All at once…
I had it all
But it doesn’t mean anything
Now that you’re gone
From above,
Seems I had it all
But it doesn’t mean anything
Since you’re gone
All at once…
I had it all
But it doesn’t mean anything
Now that you’re gone
From above,
Seems I had it all
But it doesn’t mean anything
Since you’re gone
